This set of four CDs feature contrasts in tempo, texture, and other musical elements that correspond to the elements of dance. Subtitled "Contrast and Continuum" each CD contains some pieces that contrast tempos, textures, volume or other elements within one piece, while other pieces create a continuous flow of music. The included booklets outline creative dance ideas by Anne Green Gilbert for each musical selection.

Composed from 2003 to 2008, DanceMakers by Eric Chappelle features his unique mastery of the electric violin.
